"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

John 10:27 ESV

Sheep are good for nothing on their own, but require the guidance, protection and provision of a shepherd. As believers we are called sheep and, like sheep, are fed, guided, and protected by our good Shepherd, Jesus. We can do nothing on our own, but must rely on our Shepherd for everything. This is the foundation of VeilRend. We are purposed to be living sacrifices, seeking to accomplish the will of God and not our own. We do not count our lives as dear to us and are determined to follow Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth, no matter the cost. Hence, VeilRend.

“I have yet many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now. But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own authority. But He will speak whatever He hears, and He will tell you things that are to come. He will glorify Me, for He will receive from Me and will declare it to you. All that the Father has is Mine. Therefore I said that He will take what is Mine and will declare it to you."

John 16:12‭-‬15 MEV

Our Take on Difficult Topics

We are believers of the Word. Nothing more, nothing less.

Forgiveness of Sin

Sin has been dealt with entirely by Jesus. All who have heard the Truth and believed are washed clean; all sin has been forgiven. Does this free us to live in sin? 'God forbid'. It frees us from sin because we are not under law, but grace.

"For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

2 Corinthians 5:21 ESV

"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God."

Hebrews 10:12 KJV

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

1 John 2:2 KJV

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"

Romans 6:16 KJV

Confession of Sin

Not necessary following salvation. Few people realize that 1 John 1:9 was written to unbelievers. This is made apparent in verse three:

"That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ."

1 John 1:3 KJV

"For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

Hebrews 10:14 KJV

"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year."

Hebrews 10:1-3 KJV

The Ten Commandments

Fulfilled by Christ for all who believe. If you are walking with Christ, you are righteous apart from your works. You cannot mix the Old and New Covenants together; it is one or the other. You are perfected by faith in Jesus and the following of His commands will appear as the product of the Spirit of Christ living within us.

"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."

Galatians 5:1,13 KJV

"This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"

Galatians 3:2-3 KJV

"Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference."

Romans 3:20-22 KJV

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

1 John 2:3-4 KJV

More on the Ten Commandments

"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith."

Galatians 3:10-11 KJV

"Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace."

Galatians 5:2-4 KJV

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

Galatians 5:14 KJV

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."

Romans 3:28 KJV

"Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Romans 4:4-5 KJV

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

James 2:10 KJV

One man, one woman, no exceptions.

"He answered, 'Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.'"

Matthew 19:4-6 ESV

Unacceptable. An act of murder.

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."

Psalms 139:13, 15-16 ESV

Sorry, ladies.

"For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church."

1 Corinthians 14:33-35 ESV
